About 4 months ago I changed my diet and I had great transformation! Today I’m talking about how I did it and why.
I know many of you have been waiting for this post a few months … and the promised one is due! I come to share with you what has changed in my diet, in my training and in my life. Sit down calmly and prepare for venting, tips and the like!
What is to be healthy ?
This is a difficult question and without a single answer. I have always considered myself to be a (relatively) healthy person , especially in the last 5 years. I had a good diet, I did sports, I took care of my body. He ate complex carbohydrates he considered quality (rice, wholemeal, oats, “good” flours), ate good protein (white meats, egg whites, etc.) and used sweeteners in all recipes, namely sucralose and stevia. In addition, there were only Light or Low-fat products in the pantry. No fats, very little olive oil, etc.
I will not say it was healthy or not . I’ll just tell you that something was not right because she was constantly swollen, tired, and sometimes rambunctious. Maximum perfectionist, he weighed EVERYTHING that ate (except vegetables), counted all the CALORIES and lived (in) happy knowing that he had all the food under control.
As for being healthy , today I have another answer. To be HEALTHY is to have health. It is to feel good, in peace; is our body function well, eat natural food; is to be active without exaggeration and yes … it is not counting calories. This is my current definition of healthy .
What has changed in my diet?
Changed a lot. Mostly my famous breakfasts 🙂 It all started when I decided that I had to do something about my intestines. I often felt tired, swollen, with lots of gas, and it bothered me a lot. I did not know if it was the glass of Coca-Cola Zero that I drank every day, whether it was stress or what it would be. It was then that I decided to have a nutrition consultation with André Matias (the contact here). It was a different concept that I thought I could not follow, that I would be hungry or die of boredom (ahahah). But you know what happened? … I’ll tell you what to do next!
I advise everyone to read, too, the book ” Brain of Flour” , by Dr. David Perlmutter. This book has changed my view of the body and made me better understand how our body works.
What were the results?
Well, the first week I was so focused and determined that I confess it did not cost me that much. Mainly because I started to see me DRAW! My abdomen “shrunk” and I felt very well. Besides, I was not hungry, I did not die of boredom and I loved my breakfasts! I do not live without eggs today, I’m not afraid of the yolk or counting calories. Sometimes I’m new to some recipes and that gives me immense pleasure.
I will not tell you that it was easy to change the chip . To train less but with more intensity, to eliminate some products of my feeding, etc. But having health is much more important and, in addition, was having spectacular results. More muscle, less fat. The abdominal has swelled and I feel much better at the level of the intestines.
From time to time I have some slight swelling and I know now that it is derived from stress . Yes, because being healthy includes looking after our heads! It’s not just eating and training. It’s no use eating well and having a stressful life, sleeping little or having bad habits of life. Everything has to change and André helped me a lot in the process. Thank you!
How is my diet now?
First of all, I have to tell you that every case is a case. I have some restrictions that you may not have or vice versa. It is VERY important to be followed by a good nutritionist. Once again, you can see André’s contacts here.
My day usually starts with eggs, a source of protein, and a good source of fat. Scrambled eggs, starched eggs, chicken, tuna, sometimes ham or bacon (from time to time only!). Dried fruits, coconut oil or olive oil to saute. Cheese that I try and that is not of cow (for me) and with little lactose. But I am passionate about cheese and I give myself to that pleasure. During the day, I also consume boiled eggs, dried fruit, avocado, protein (meat, fish), good complex hydrates, etc. I put aside the bars, the granolas and the like. Regarding the main meals (spoken), here on the blog I have some recipes already! Look at the octopus salad with avocado or these chicken legs with lemon sauce . Nhammi !!!
I continue to make different recipes when I have the time, but with the best ingredients! I love to innovate and have new recipes, and if you do, the blog starts to look a bit different. Look at the cacao brownies with avocado , gluten-free, or banana and almond pancakes. So good!
Be happy and watch over your HEALTH! It is about health. It is about living well. Make your choices and always ask for help from a professional. Read a lot, socialize and do not be afraid to EAT! After all, it’s one of Life’s great pleasures, do not you think? 🙂
